LitCon South Carolina was a phenomenal experience, making history twice by hosting the first-ever author awards and expo in Columbia, SC, and introducing the all-time hit LitCon Line Dance. Presented by Blu Impressions Publishing, LLC, this event featured captivating stories shared by authors and meaningful connections formed, leaning into the heart of creators and writers. It was a transformative experience filled with inspiration, education, healing, networking, and the warmth of a family gathering.
Exclusive Meet and Greet
The event featured an exclusive meet and greet for the authors to engage and get to know each other before the big event. Held at an exceptional restaurant in the heart of downtown Columbia, SC this gathering provided a relaxed and intimate setting for authors to connect and form lasting relationships.
Celebrating Excellence
LitConSC also hosted its first-ever award ceremony in South Carolina, recognizing top authors within their niche categories. It was a rewarding experience to be in a room full of people who genuinely wanted each other to succeed. Authors who had put in the hard work finally received the recognition they deserved.
A Family Affair
Attendees from across and outside South Carolina gathered, making LitConSC not just an event but a family affair. Visionary Lena Payton Webb referred to everyone as family or her famous term "cousins," emphasizing that once someone impacts your life, they are no longer just acquaintances but family. This unique atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable experience.
A Transformative Experience
Initially, I didn't fully grasp the scope of LitCon until I witnessed the power of people engaging, sharing their inspirational stories, and revealing why they decided to write or create their literary pieces. It was clear that these authors aimed to make a positive impact, share glimpses of their lives, experiences, or creative fantasy worlds for readers to escape into their imagination. May of theses literally masterpieces are so good that you could literally see them on the big screen one day. Meeting both young and seasoned authors on journeys of self-discovery was truly enlightening.
Educational and Inspirational
LitConSC was an event where you could find your next amazing book to read, build relationships, and collaborate with individuals while learning valuable lessons, Lena shared what is truly needed to make six figures or more making it clear that changing your mindsets, faith, and proper systems are necessary. You will also need to see that a book is not just a book; it's a testimony, a legacy, and a business in itself. The event offered tangible examples, strategies for success, and exclusive offers to help participants excel and expand their businesses.
Advocating Healing
This expo also advocated healing from trauma, providing a roadmap to help people heal and not remain victims. It was a place where stories of overcoming adversity were shared, in a way that inspired attendees to move forward. It was echoed throughout the event that each person their should embrace their uniqueness.
